The first official public appearance of the announcement of the British success at the Battle of Trafalgar and 'the lamented Death of Vice-Admiral Lord Viscount Nelson, who, in the late Conflict with the Enemy, fell in the Hour of Victory'.
The entire paper is devoted to Vice-Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood's dramatic account of the 'complete and glorious Victory', Nelson's death, thanksgiving to the valour of the officers, a proclamation of a day of thanksgiving, and a brief further account of the pursuit of the enemy in the aftermath of the battle.
