SPACE: 1999 (TV 1975-77) - "The Last Sunset" Alien Satellite Model Miniature and Ephemera
An alien satellite model miniature from the sci-fi television series Space: 1999. From the episode 'The Last Sunset', in which alien satellites from the planet Ariel landed on Moonbase Alpha, changing the atmosphere so its human inhabitants could breathe outside the base. Cast from metal, the satellite is painted metallic blue with three wire antennae protruding from the top. It shows painted details and vinyl applications. Accompanying the satellite is a 'Bowerhouse Model Associates' brochure, the company responsible for the creation of the models for the series. There are also three photographs showing the piece in use, a black-and-white photograph of the model miniature crew, a VHS of the featured episode and a making-of paperback book. The satellite shows evidence of production use, including a missing antenna and paint chips. Dimensions (model miniature): 6 cm x 9 cm x 18.5 cm (2 ½" x 3 ½" x 7 ¼") VAT Status - Margin
