ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. (1966) - Hand-Painted Tom Chantrell Prototype Poster Artwork
Tom Chantrell’s painted prototype artwork for director Don Chaffey’s fantasy-adventure One Million Years B.C. This pre-production piece was created in 1965 to help Hammer secure American financing for the film (hence the cavewoman does not look like Raquel Welch as she had yet to be cast). Painted with acrylics on artists board, the title and tagline have been painted separately on paper and adhered to the board. The artist has signed the artwork and it is accompanied by a letter of provenance from the Chantrell Archive.
