Officerâ€™s Badge, 20 x 18 mm., gilt Bronze, white enameled round medallion, bearing the inscription â€œBATALLA DE CHIVA 15 DE JULIO DE 1837â€ within green enameled laurel wreath surmounted by a white enameled scroll, bearing the motto â€œDISCIPLINA Y VALOR VENCEN LA FUERZAâ€ in golden lettering, smooth reverse, upper loop and round suspension ring, with original, pale blue silk ribbon. A nice, rare piece dating from the institution of the decoration in 1837, excellent condition. I RR!
